Unlike human hospitals, not all animal hospitals are required to be accredited. Being an AAHA-accredited hospital means that Sage follows the AAHA Standards of Accreditation, which are continuously reviewed and updated by leaders in the veterinary profession to reflect changing best practices from the cutting edge of veterinary medicine.

AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry because they voluntarily choose to be evaluated on more than 900 quality standards that go above and beyond state regulations, ranging from patient care and pain management to staff training and advanced diagnostic services. Fewer than 15% of hospitals in the US and Canada achieve this distinction.

Sage Veterinary Center first opened its doors in September 2022.  We then earned our accreditation in April of 2024. A veterinary hospital must be in existence for at least one year before you can begin to apply for this accreditation, and achieving such an honor before our second anniversary is even more prestigious.
