To schedule an initial consultation, clients may call (201) 499-1101, email rehab@sagevetcenter.com, or have their veterinarian submit a referral form. Once received, our team will contact the client directly.

During the initial consultation, the doctor will perform a comprehensive evaluation, discuss findings, and develop a personalized treatment plan, including any recommended home exercises. Treatment is not performed during the evaluation appointment; the patient's first Rehab session will be scheduled separately.

Rehab sessions are 50 minutes and may include laser therapy, manual therapy, PEMF therapy, treadmill work, and therapeutic exercises based on the patient's needs. Services are not offered à la carte.

Post-operative patients may be seen immediately after surgery for a Rehab consultation. Treatment typically begins about two weeks post-op (sometimes sooner), depending on the procedure and veterinarian recommendations. Patients with lameness or limping may also be evaluated.

No. A veterinary referral is not required but is preferred, as it provides relevant medical history prior to the initial consultation. Clients should
have their primary care or specialty veterinarian complete the online referral form whenever possible. -
Yes. Acupuncture is available as an add-on to Rehab treatment sessions and can be discussed during the patient's initial Rehab consultation.

We use the Respond Systems Luminex Class 3b Laser with a 1W continuous wave probe and a Super-Pulse probe.

Yes. We work with feline patients and tailor treatment plans to meet their unique needs.

We take a low-stress, fear-free approach to care and tailor each visit to the patient's comfort level. For fearful pets, exams and treatments may be introduced gradually over multiple visits. Accommodations can also be made for patients that need to avoid other animals during treatment. If your pet cannot be around other animals, our staff will ensure that your pet is the only animal in the treatment room during treatment sessions.

Yes. Clients are welcome to remain during treatment, observe from the viewing area, or drop their pet off and return at the end of the session. We encourage whichever option is most comfortable for the patient.

Many insurances cover rehabilitation services however every insurance plan differs in coverage. We suggest contacting your insurance provider prior to your rehab consultation to confirm coverage.
